We used the popular PHP framework Laravel when developing the Wombat admin platform due to its robustness, scalability and intuitive UX opportunities.

Wombat is a new investment product with a focus on financial education and ease of use for inexperienced investors. They offer a holistic service in which they help educate, invest, save, grow and motivate customers to create better investing habits and knowledge packaged as intuitive and engaging applications for iOS and Android.
According to independent user research, there were three main reasons why the average person in the UK had shunned investing in the stock market: They didn’t know where to start; the terminology was confusing, and they believed they needed a lot of money to get started.
With tools to educate users on how investing works, provide recommendations based on risk appetite and instructions on how to best manage their funds, Wombat wanted to make investing easier for an inexperienced audience through accessible technologies.
We helped Wombat create a robust iOS and Android solution, backed by a dual admin panel accessible through both Nova and Hatchly- Netsells in-house Laravel CMS. In order to deliver a product truly fitting of Wombat’s vision, we opted for a Scrum-based Agile methodology, with changes made iteratively over 3-week sprints.
We have worked closely with Wombat since they were a start-up, initially working to help them to raise investment and produce a MVP (Minimum Viable Product).
After deciding on a mobile application and admin platform solution, we mapped what the solution would like, designing and conducting user research, outlining a feature roadmap, creating UX wireframes and conducting cost-benefit analysis.
We worked with Wombat to integrate their new products, embedding them within their existing process flow and putting mechanisms in place to quantify impact.
As part of an on-going partnership we continue to closely support Wombat, with a dedicated internal team of developers and product specialists iteratively delivering updates and improvements to ensure that their solution continues to prove successful.
We used the popular PHP framework Laravel when developing the Wombat admin platform due to its robustness, scalability and intuitive UX opportunities.
We used Java-based Kotlin as our language of choice for the Wombat Android app to make it more maintainable, concise and error-free.
We coded Wombat for iOS in Swift, an extensive programming language used to build apps for the Apple ecosystem.
Seed funding raised, enabling more people than ever to invest.
